Luis Villegas - Vice President

Mr. Villegas is currently Business Relationship Manger for Santa Barbara Bank & Trust.  Previously, he was the Hispanic Segment Market Manager for Pacific Capital Bancorp, President of the Santa Barbara Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Sales Manager of Mesa Communications, Latin American Sales Manager for InfoGenesis and Dealer Account Representative for IBM Corporation.

A graduate of Santa Barbara City College, Mr. Villegas returned there to teach Spanish and English as a Second Language.  He has served on the Santa Barbara City College Board of Trustees since 1993, serving as Board President in 2000 and 2007. Mr. Villegas is the immediate past president of the California Community College Board of Trustees. He is also past president of the California Community College Latino Trustee Association.

Mr. Villegas received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish & Latin American Literature from UC Santa Barbara, and did graduate work at both UC Santa Barbara and the Universidad Autonoma de Mexico.
