Tradeshow and Job Fair, April 1, 2010

The Santa Barbara Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Staples Business Advantage and Cox Media is proud to announce its Fifth Annual Business Trade Expo. In previous years the Expo has brought together large and small businesses to network and market their products and services. Given these difficult economic times, we have decided to add a new component to this year’s Trade Expo. The new component will be a job fair aimed at increasing awareness of job opportunities in the greater Santa Barbara area. The theme of this year’s event will be:
“The Road to Recovery”
In addition, the Chamber will be offering two business seminars. The first will be a discussion featuring Assemblyman Manuel Pérez, chair of California’s Committee on Jobs, Economic Development and the Economy. Joining Mr. Perez, will be Dr, Somnath Basu, Director of California Institute of Finance and Economics Professor at California Lutheran University. The second seminar will be offered by one of our local Chamber members, Palius and O’Kelly, addressing “How To Thrive, Not Just Survive In This Difficult Economy.” The day’s event will be capped- off with a traditional business networking mixer open to all.
This year’s event will be held on April 1, 2010, at Warren Hall located at Earl Warren Showgrounds.The Road To Recovery promises to be a one of a kind event bringing together businesses as well as job seekers. The Santa Barbara Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to sponsoring and promoting events that will serve as a catalyst to economic growth in our community.
